| Summary |

Event Horizon is a science-fiction-horror story, set far into a future in which humans are not alone in a hostile galaxy.

Twenty years ago, first contact was made. Ten years ago, the invading forces of the Enemy were repelled in an effort that nearly cost humanity everything. Five years ago, the contingency plan went into effect - the Failsafe Directive. You were selected for the Directive, frozen and time and placed at the edge of the solar system. But the Failsafe has been activated and war gathers on the horizon once again. Assigned to a condemned crew, you prepare to embark on a secret mission to stop the second invasion before it can even begin. You will not return. This is a suicide mission. A point of no return.

| The Crew |

  • The Captain - Eris Akakios: Savior of the Solar System, lord of the enigmatic Wandering Fleet, prelate of the nascent Order. A mythological figure, said to have harnessed powers beyond human comprehension. Said to have made the Enemy itself bend to her will - and to have gone mad from it. Available as a romance option to female or non-binary player characters in T3: Amnesiac only.
  • The First Officer - Alexandra Drake: Not much information exists on who exactly the first officer is - or was. Rumors have her serving in special operations at the very height of the War and disappearing immediately afterwards, rumors have her across every corner of the system in every walk of life imaginable. Every rumor has a single common factor- an entanglement with the captain. Available as a romance option to female or non-binary player characters in T3: Amnesiac only.
  • The Navigator - Hector De La Cruz: The finest navigator to have come from the Republics, if the reports are true. A charming man, suave and confident, well mannered and intentioned. A haunted man, who served on the bridge of doomed ship after doomed ship and somehow was the only one to walk away, each and every time. Available as a romance option to male and non-binary player characters in all timelines.
  • The Medic - Natalie Konigsmann: A dead woman walking. Martyred at the end of the War, selflessly laying down her life for her fellow soldiers - a violent end to a violent life. There would be no rest for her, not even in death. These days, she is but a shade of her former self, scarred and cold, holding grudges that surpass even the grave. Available as a romance option to female and non-binary player characters in all timelines.
  • The Pilot - Jun Asuka: An unfathomably intense Martian, covered in tattoos and armed with a silver tongue and a plethora of war stories to tell. Stories where they're the hero, where they've always been a hero, carefully doctored to avoid the ghosts of their past. It's obvious the pilot is hiding something - and the price of their secrets may very well be the mission. Available as a romance option to male, female, and non-binary player characters in all timelines.
  • The Quartermaster - Jayden Grey: Contrary to their scarred appearance, the quartermaster remains unbroken. They did not come all this way - from guerilla warfare on the frontiers of the Republic to clandestine operations under the command of the Marshals - to fail. The mission will succeed - even if it costs them everything. Available as a romance option to male, female, and non-binary player characters in all timelines.
  • The Stowaway - Tycho Crncevic: The dark spot that lingers in the corner of your eye, the flicker of movement down the hall. The pervasive whisper, the feeling of eyes on you wherever you go. He promises answers, power - he promises he can ensure this is not a one-way trip. You cannot trust him. Unavailable as a romance option.

There is a bug on the longer passages that just cuts it off and you have to reload the page to fix it and see the rest. It mostly happens when you spend too much time reading a passage.

I have no idea what's causing this and have been unable to replicate this bug in both itch.io and in the twine program itself. I recommend looking into your cookies and browser cache, or playing on desktop if you are not already.

Please note that this version of the game does not and will not receive updates.

I reset the laptop and everything works fine now. Thank you for your help.
