|| SUMMARY ||

Event Horizon is a science-fiction-horror story, set far into a future in which humans are not alone in a hostile galaxy.

The Failsafe has been activated. War lingers on the horizon. Five years ago, you were one of the last people to be selected for the Failsafe and Final Stand Programs. You were frozen in time, placed into orbit at the edge of the solar system. And now, you're hurtling through space towards a ship you've never seen before. The Nomad. A secret mission, beyond the edge of the solar system, to stop the Enemy before they can begin their second invasion. A suicide mission.

A point of no return.

|| CURRENT VERSION ||

  • Complete and playable first chapter and teaser for chapter 2 (T1 only), roughly 149k words, play time of roughly 30 minutes to an hour.
  • Three different branching timelines.
  • An introduction to the crew, mission, and stakes.
  • Codex

|| FEATURES ||

  • Three different "timelines", all of which offer a different experience
    • Timeline 1- The Crewman: A normal military sci-fi story- except you're on the tip of an iceberg. You don't want to know what lurks beneath the surface.
    • Timeline 2- The Anomaly: Caught between worlds, you're quickly realizing there's more to this mission than you thought. There's more to this universe than you thought.
    • Timeline 3- The Amnesiac: A complicated temporal autopsy, quite possibly your own. The very fabric of reality is yours to command- time, space, and energy all bend to a will that does not always belong to you.
  • Cosmic horror. There is something else out there. It lurks beyond the edge of the solar system. And it's found its way aboard the ship. Beware the pooling shadows and flickering lights.
  • Meaningful choices with permanent consequences. Your actions will determine the fate of the crew, and perhaps humanity. You may die. Each and every one of the crew may die. Be careful.
  • Six romance options- including two exclusively gay romances and two timeline-locked romances

this is amazing

Potential bug - I was playing pretty late last night: when MC introduces themselves they're always a liaison officer from earth. This includes when I was playing as a psychologist from the Grey Fleet.

Think this is utterly fascinating so far - I've played through multiple times with different choices to see what changes and I can't wait to see where this goes.

Hi!

I tried a few times to replicate this error, and wasn't able to. I'm admittedly not an expert with Twine and caught a different bug in the process of trying to fix this one, but I genuinely have no idea what would cause this to happen.

I appreciate your support and catching this bug, there will be a fix incoming that addresses a few known bugs.
